“As part of the my friend Ruth and Peter’s Alchemy of Light show at the HERE Art Center, I created two outfits set in the style of early 20th century undergarments. The cheeky twist is the light bulbs pointing outwards in the place of the most commonly thought of erogenous zones. Despite being goofy and perhaps a little strange, I feel that it is more than just an elaborate joke. I have hopes of these outfits being costumes for a short black and white film where the outfits themselves are tools for expression. I also think these strange outfits highlight the overall insecurities we have with talking about sex and the private bits we choose not to mention.”
